STEM in school: science, technology, engineering and math in VR headsets
proLabsXR turns STEM from a topic on the board into something students do with their own hands: science experiments, robotics and AI, electric circuits and solid geometry. The whole class explores together, from primary to high school.

Four fields, one way of thinking
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Beyond the knowledge in each field, STEM teaches students to investigate: ask a question, form a hypothesis, build, measure and draw conclusions. That is exactly what students do in the proLabsXR labs.
Every letter, a lab of its own
Science
Physics, chemistry, biology and environmental science: experiments you can see, measure and change.
Technology
Robotics and AI: program, operate and understand how machines "think".
Engineering
Electronics and engineering: build circuits, test connections and troubleshoot.
Math
Solid geometry: shapes, volumes and ratios you can hold in your hand.
Like a real scientist, step by step
Every experiment is built as an inquiry: the student asks, hypothesizes, changes one variable, measures, and reaches a data-based conclusion. The system guides them along the way and gives a hint when they get stuck.
- An inquiry question and a hypothesis
- Independent variable, dependent variable and controls
- Repeated measurements and a reliability check
- A data-based conclusion

STEM from primary to high school
Primary school
Exploration and discovery in an open, playful environment: curiosity before formulas.
Middle school
Focused labs by subject, with an inquiry question and measurement.
High school
In-depth science and data analysis, aligned with the curriculum and exams.
A ready lesson plan for every experiment
Every experiment has a card in the teacher portal: learning goals, equipment, estimated duration and steps, plus a student sheet. Teachers can also design a new experiment for their curriculum, through guided inquiry with AI, without writing a line of code.
- Defined learning goals and experiment steps
- A student sheet and teaching materials
- A new curriculum-based experiment, with AI

STEM implementation through Gefen (Israel)
Schools in Israel can choose implementation and training through ProMixed's Gefen programs. Licenses are bought directly from ProMixed, not through Gefen. The programs:
- 62804 — Learn and explore STEM in virtual reality and AI
- 70660 — Personalized AI/VR learning reality, for primary schools
- 24275 — Learning to teach with virtual reality and AI (teacher training)
Why STEM in a headset
In virtual reality headsets, students do not watch the experiment, they do it, each on their own, even when the school has no fully equipped lab. They see what usually stays abstract, like the inside of a cell or current in a circuit, and work together in the same virtual world.
Frequently asked questions about STEM in school
What is STEM?
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. It is an approach that teaches these fields together, through inquiry, building and problem solving.
How can a school bring in STEM without a fully equipped lab?
With virtual labs in VR headsets: students run experiments in science, engineering and robotics with no expensive equipment and no risk, and each of them experiments hands-on.
Is there STEM for primary schools?
Yes. proLabsXR has a primary level based on exploration and discovery in a playful environment, and for implementation in primary schools there is Gefen program 70660.
Which STEM fields does proLabsXR cover?
Physics, chemistry, biology, environmental science, electronics and engineering, robotics and AI, as well as math experiments such as solid geometry.
Which languages does it support?
The system supports Hebrew, Arabic, English and more.
Do teachers need technical knowledge?
No. There is a simple teacher portal, an experiment card and a student sheet for every experiment, and teacher training. In Israel there is also a Gefen training course (24275).
