Israel's national personalized learning program
Program 720 of the Ministry of Education's Innovation and Technology Administration aims to build a new model of personalized learning at system scale. The model combines advanced pedagogy, artificial intelligence, developing the human capital in schools, and the use of data. The name reflects two 360-degree views: of the learners, and of the teaching teams.
According to the 2026–27 call, the program addresses authorities and owners of middle schools, in grades 7 and/or 8, and brings digital tools into STEM and English. AI does not replace the teacher: it analyzes learning data, spots gaps and adapts content, freeing the teacher's time for personal guidance.

How does virtual reality relate to Program 720?
One of the criteria in the call is "the educational space", which allows hands-on experience in a physical or virtual setting. VR labs and learning rooms give students that experience, each at their own pace.
